This blog started out as a way to promote documenting the moment, but I am re-focusing it on my passion for career development. My hope is that this blog will be a way for me to explore how to combine career with my passion for raising my kids.

{I’m CRYSTAL.}

I’m sure it’s not surprising that becoming a mom rocked me. It’s a huge identity shift. I was the type of mom who wanted to keep every moment. I knew the moments would be fleeting, and I found it important to prioritize capturing these memories. We live in an age of privilege, where it’s easy to snap the shot and preserve our children’s lives, and that is where the idea of The Shutterbug Mom emerged.

But as I fell back into my routines of work, my passion and love for career re-emerged too. With this blog, I hope to implement my background as a former journalist with my expertise in career development to explore how we can introduce career and instill wonderment about our futures in our children at a young age.

A little more about me: I’m a Colorado boy mom. I have two sons, 5 and 3. My favorite meal is meatloaf and potatoes. My favorite color is pink. I am a creativity enthusiast. My happiest and proudest moments are with my two sons, who gaze up at me with the most loving eyes. They are my heart and home.

I’m obsessed with flamingos, coffee, Harry Potter, coffee, hygge, and building a peaceful home.
